Addiction and Mental Illness are intertwined. That is why HMTX Cares, an organization initially created to fight the disease of addiction, now funds mental health organizations in addition to its original support of addiction rehabilitation, aftercare and education facilities. The group funds scholarships and pays insurance deductibles for those who otherwise could not afford treatment through fundraising events.
HMTX Cares has an admirable goal of reaching one million dollars in donations. The theme “One Million Points of Light” will guide us to meet this goal. The points of light are both actual dollars generated and souls who are suffering with either addiction or mental health issues.

HMTX Cares intends to raise more than $500K,
which will be matched dollar for dollar by HMTX Industries for a total of $1 million.
Contributions will fund scholarships to mental health and addiction rehabilitation facilities for those in need who cannot otherwise afford treatment.
